Overview:

Prof. Prakash Devidas Porey was born on October 4, 1949. He obtained B.E. (Civil) from VNIT, Nagpur (Formerly VRCE, Nagpur) in 1973, M.E. (Hyd. Engg.) in 1975 from IIT Roorkee (Formerly University of Roorkee) and Ph.D. in 1982 from IIT Kanpur. He has to his credit more than 100 technical papers at National and International level and technical reports. He has guided more than 70 M. Tech. and 8 Ph.D so far. Provided consultancy services to various organizations such as UP State Electricity Board, Rajasthan Irrigation Deptt., UP Irrigation Deptt., Maharashtra Water Supply & Sewerage Board, Orrisa Water Supply & Sewerage Board, Karanataka Power Corporation, Hyderabad Water Supply & Sewerage Board, NEERI, MAHADA, PWD, Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC), Maruti Udyog Ltd. (Gurgaon), Chennai Metro Development Authority (Chennai) etc.

He is Fellow of IEI, ISH & IWWA, life member of various professional bodies such as ISTE, ISH, IGS, ISWE, ISET etc. and is a member of executive council of ISWE and Vice President of ISH. He was Dean (Planning & Development) during 1996 - 99, Head of the Civil Engineering Department during 1999 . 2002 and Dean (R & D) during 2002-05. Worked on a panel of experts for MPSC, DTE, AICTE etc.
He  is One of the reviewers for journal of Institute of Engineers (I), ISH Journal & ASCE Journals.
