    Tronical Circuit Design Challenge

"virtuality is more real than reality"

The world is getting smaller with its bulky and heavy machines being replaced by smaller circuits and integrated designs. The I.Cs are taking over and the programming is doing all the talking.
This event focuses more on the tronics and the trical freaks who have an aptitude that could go places. Think fast, act prompt and rush immediately. There is no space for indolence and speed is the only way to go about it. Correct knowledge, right approach and the GATES are your key to the final success.

MISSION: to solve the mystery behind the explosion
METHOD: to join the missing pieces of the circuits and join them to get the complete circuit used in the explosive
PRIZE: the first one to complete the mystery circuit gets the fame and the money
Welcome to Source Code. You are hereby instructed to follow the leads and solve the circuits as fast as possible. There are 4 stages of 90 minutes each which need to be decoded in order to solve the complete circuit. You could be asked to simulate circuits or implement them physically. With time constraints and very limited help available, speed is the only way to go about it. Correct knowledge, the right approach and the GATES are your key to the final success. Make your expertise count...
STAGES: (preliminary round), selection of captain (first round), location of bomb (second round), find the bomber (third round), bomb diffusing (final round). We will choose teams in the preliminary round to work for our Source Code mission Teams would have only one and a half hours to complete each phase of the mission. Based on round one, captain teams will be selected to carry out the mission. The selected captain teams will have to find the location of the bomb (i.e. have to clear round two). The winners of round two have to find the bomber (i.e. have to clear round three). In round four the finalist who is able to defuse the bomb (i.e. clear the final round) will be the winner of Source Code (TCDC event).

    RULES:

    1. A team should consist of a maximum of 4 participants.
    2. There will be a preliminary round consisting of questions from ECE/EE/CSE/IT.
    3. 10 teams will be selected for the main round which will consist of 4 levels.
    4. The more questions attempted correctly, the more points awarded.
    5. Top 8 teams would move to level 2, and top 5 from level 2 to level 3
    6. The top 4 remaining teams from level 3 will move on to level 4 to face the final challenge.
    7. A team can carry a maximum of 3 books for the main round.
