    Problem Statement:
    Build a manually controlled aqua robot which is capable of traversing a specified path to rescue a broken raft.

    Arena Specifications:

    • A tank full of water measuring 3m x 2m x 50cm will be provided for motion. The depth of tank will be 50cm.
    • There will be Check-points at different points.
    • Poles are fixed in the arena in such a way that it will show the boundaries of the path that will lead you to the raft which is to be rescued.
    • The distance between any two poles will be greater than 50cm.
    • Poles will be 20 cm in height from the water level.
    • The dimensions of raft which is to be rescued will be 20cm x 15cm and hooks will be attached to it.
    Raft:

    Robot Specifications:

    • Dimensions of the robot should not exceed 25cm X 25cm X 25cm.
    • The robot can use on-board or external power supply.
    • The voltage between any two points must not exceed 18V.
    • The robot cannot be constructed using readymade Lego kits or any readymade mechanisms. But can use readymade gear assemblies.
    • Robot can be wired or wireless controlled. In case of wired, the wire should remain slack throughout the game.

    Gameplay:

    • The Aqua bot will be placed at the Start Position.
    • The Aqua will have to traverse the path made by the poles and it has to reach to the other end of the arena where the raft which is to be rescued is present.
    • After reaching to the other end, the aqua bot has to come back by traversing the same path along with the rescue bot.
    • The aqua bot has to pass through the path very carefully without touching the poles as it will fetch negative points to the team.
    • If the bot deviates from the path it will be placed back at the previous check point.
    • If the bot accidentally gets unhooked with the raft then the raft will be placed at the initial position.
    • A total of 5 min time will be given to each team
    Scoring:
    Score = 100*C + R + F + (300-T sec ) - P*10

    C - No. of check points crossed.
    R - 200 points will be awarded for attaching the bot with the raft for only one time during the gameplay.
    F - 500 points will be awarded on successfully bringing the raft to the start position.
    T - Total time taken in seconds by the bot to rescue the raft.
    P - No. of times the bot touches the poles.

    General Rules:

    • A team may consist of a maximum of 4 members. Students from different colleges can also form a team.
    • Only one member from the team is allowed to be near the game field to control the robot.
    • Only one robot is allowed per team.
    • The robot should not damage the arena in any case, or else it can lead to disqualification.
    • Team should report in time otherwise it can lead to disqualification.
    • Any robot not conforming to the specifications provided will be instantly disqualified.
    • On any circumstance judge's decision is final and rules may be subject to change in case of situations uncalled for.
