After the last years extravaganza, the IBM® TECHNICAL CONTEST in its Third edition promises to live up to its grandeur!

Contest Details:
The theme for this years grill is WEB 2.0

The Event will essentially be a team event with each team consisting of 2 team-members.The Event will be played in 3 rounds with the successive elimination of all but 3 teams who will be the winners.
The rounds would stand thus:

ROUND 1(PRELIMS)
The prelims would consist of both online as well as offline prelims:

Online Prelims:The online prelims would allow the teams to register online and then answer the set of questions,the top 30 teams would be selected according to the scores obtained in the online prelim and they would directly reach the ROUND 2,however 20 teams would be kept as stand-by or waiting.

Offline Prelim/Spot Prelim: There will be on-spot registration for the event as well and the participants will be allowed to register their teams and then a similar set of questions will be provided for them to solve,the top 20 teams would then be allowed into the ROUND 2.Any deficit in the number would then be taken from the teams in stand-by,to make the number of teams moving into ROUND 2 50.

ROUND 2:The top 50 teams would be assembled in the main arena and then the round would start.The round would be multiple choice and the questions would be more technically advanced than in the PRELIMS.From all the teams the top 5 teams would be selected from the over all scores and they would be promoted to sit on the stage to play the ROUND 3. The others however can sit in the arena and participate in the ROUND 3 to get goodies.

ROUND 3:The main task of the top 5 teams selected is to make a ppt each,however in the interim period between the making of the ppt and its presentation,the participants remaining in the arena would be playing a quiz which will have goodies as prizes.As the time for the making of the ppt finishes,the quiz will end and then the remaining participants can see the presentation of the ppts by the top 5 teams,after which the winner will be chosen by the judges.

Round I Online Prelims : 31st January to 9th February.
Round I Offline Prelims : 10th February
Round 2 and 3 : 11th February
