Entrepreneurship cell of NIT Durgapur is a launch-pad for the creative young entrepreneurs to showcase their talents.
Our competitions provide a platform for students to get excellent professional mentorship from our experienced, varied and distinguished mentor pool, and to showcase their ideas in front of Venture Capitalists, Angel Investors and Industry Leaders. If you want to turn your idea into an entrepreneurial venture, then this is the perfect stage for you!
In the tenth edition of Aarohan the E-cell, in association with NSEF and Villgro provides a stage to learn about the most pressing social issues and the tools to make develop a thriving ecosystem of social innovation. It provides a great oppurtnity fot all the budding entrepreneurs to ignite the spirit of social entrepreneurship in them by expert talks and mentorship sessions.
Owing to the theme the underlying idea for all the B-plans should be “SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP”.
General Rules:
Each team can comprise of a maximum of 4 members.
Students from different institutes can form a single team.

Preliminary Round:
For the first stage, every team needs to submit an abstract in the format attached hereby-format

Of the entries received, 10 teams will be selected for the final round of the B-plan competition to be held just after the NSEF Idea Conference.
Final Round:
The finalists will have to go through a high impact mentoring session for 10 plans pre-selected before the idea conference. The best ideas will get incubation and further mentorship support. The panel of mentors will include the speakers of the conference.Each of the teams will be given 5 minutes for their presentation and the presentation will be followed by a 2-minute Question-Answer round.
JUDGING CRITERIA:
The teams will be judged based on the following categories:
Presentation and communication
Social Implications-Should emphasize on how the idea benefits the people, the problems it solves and the impact it has.
Innovativeness- Should describe how the innovation works, how it is innovative and unique.
Technical Viability- Should answer how the product/service works and to what degree has the technology been proven.
Business Feasibility
Demonstration
Question-Answer
